"Watson, wake up!" Holmes called out whilst pushing both of her comrade's bedroom doors open and entering her 'sacred space'- her dark brown jacket trails wisping in behind her-
Of course, Watson did not react too well to this and nearly jumped out of her skin- "What in devils name are you doing Holmes?!" she asked in a fluster of confusion- already up and doing up her top button in front the mirror between her desk and bed.
"Oh, you're awake- splendid--" Holmes smiled, ignoring her doctor's previous remark
"Well it was impossible not to hear you 'strumming' your violin this morning…" Watson explained, taking her usual black tie and midnight blue waistcoat out of her wardrobe and proceeded to dress herself. "Now what is SO important that you must breach my bedroom walls at such a time as this?"
"Charming as ever Watson" Holmes grinned, proceeding forward and dropping the usual bowler hat onto her comrade's head-"But indeed you are correct- I must cut to the chase" she explained whilst sharing the same mirror with Watson and began straightening her loose neckerchief with one hand whilst her pipe rested in her other, "I need the assistance of your expert doctoral knowledge- the recent murder of Joseph McClous has me most confused"
"Joseph McClous?" Watson repeated, flicking her brown fringe out of her face "The unfortunate baker that died last week after a series of dreadful burns to his torso?"
"The very same" Holmes revealed- "His sister Victoria has hired us to find out the reason for his death"
"Oh really?" Watson laughed mildly -"Perhaps she should save her money and read the newspapers- he was an unfortunate casualty during an accidental fire down at his own bakery causing his life-threatening burns in the first place"
"My dearest Watson" Holmes began, smiling and shaking her head, "Are you so naive as to believe everything you read?"
"No" Watson admitted, beginning to slip on her waistcoat "But it would save the poor girl, me and you in fact a whole lot of trouble if she did…"
"Indeed" Holmes agreed, "But where's the justice -nevertheless the adventure- in it if there's more to it than the newspapers say?"
"Precisely why I never like getting into a debate with you Holmes" Watson admitted, finishing getting dressed and giving Holmes her eye-contact, "I suppose I haven't got anything of more considerable measure to do today- you need my 'expert' opinion?"
"Wonderful Watson- thank you" Holmes smiled once again, turning around, putting her pipe into her right hand and began to explain the matter to Watson whilst walking ahead—
----------------------------------------------------------
Turned out that Holmes needed Watson's professional opinion on Joseph's corpse- which was soon revealed to the both of them at Buckingham Morgue-
"You see anything at all strange about this Watson?" Holmes asked rhetorically to her comrade
"Is this why his sister hired us?" Watson asked, dreading what was to come later in the day—The body of the late Joseph indeed had very serious burns on the torso area… but none whatsoever anywhere else on his person.
"Precisely why" Holmes nodded, "Far, far too suspicious to just let slip by don't you think?"
"Indeed" Watson agreed, "If you want to know what I think Holmes, my experience in Afghan warfare has shown me that this is the work of…"
"A very experienced and precise pyromaniac with the assistance of an adequate flamethrower" Holmes interrupted Watson's analysis
"Precisely Holmes" Watson replied, somewhat speechless, "Meaning that…"
"Joseph was murdered and his bakery fire was simply a cover up for something far bigger than we'd imagined, yes Watson, very well done" Holmes smiled, pulling the sheet over the corpse of Joseph and walking away- causing Watson to follow
"Remind me once more why you brought me here?" Watson replied, clearly annoyed that Holmes seemed to already know what had happened to the late baker.
"Why I needed your-"
"'Expert opinion?" Watson suggested, "I didn't provide any opinion whatsoever"
"Of course you did Watson" Holmes explained, "You may not have expressed it through words but it was clear about what you were about to say through your posture and tone"
"Alright then" Watson said, "Would you mind analyzing what I'm thinking now, if you can?"
"Of course" Holmes walked on "You think I dragged you over here for no apparent reason so I could rope you into the present case"
"My, my Holmes… you are good at this mind-reading business" Watson admitted
"Why thank you Watson" Holmes smiled again, "Now I do hope you brought your cane with you, we're may encounter some difficulties…"
"…Holmes…" Watson shook her head, covering up her face with one of her hands…
H+W (Holmes and Watson)

Theres a death, Holmes takes a case to investigate it cause its suspicious and finds out its a murder -- whether or not she already knew about the flamethrower without Watson having to tell her is up to you- whatever you find funniest ;D

...But just incase you didnt get the ending joke about the cane- concealed inside Watson's cane is her sword which she used to 'ward off people' or in other words, kill people who are trying to kill her or Holmes-- but Holmes has a gun so its all geewwdd :meow:

Do have in mind that I WILL be writing more of these two, its becomin a hibit cause I like to link my feelings as a Watson type character to the original...
And no I am not calling her character 'Emma Watson'- thatd be really ironic hehe XD

Anyways, YES i am aware that holmes and watson are of the opposite gender cause I like to experiment that way - plus I like to think that im in the shoes of watson most of the time cause hes like a cute little sidekick whos just there to compliment holmes and kick criminal butt most of the time :)
